Regarding the Paternity Benefit

When an insured person has worked with you for no less than 26 weeks, takes paternity leave, and returns after two weeks, you will be eligible for a lump sum of £1000 under the new LocumPlan for Vets policy addition.

If the covered individual has worked for your practice for 26 weeks prior to the end date of the pregnancy (due date of the delivery) or an insured individual shows that they have a written document stating that they have been matched together with a child for adoption, you can receive a lump payment £2500 in locum insurance cover when the person comes back to work.

On the Subject of Compassionate Leave Benefits

Compassionate Leave is described in the policy wording, as are the other benefits. If there is an insured individual at your business that has to take a leave of compassion, you can get weekly benefits for up to 4 weeks. The insured amount is the same thing as the sum that is insured for Temporary Total Disablement.

In Reference to Suspension Cover

If your practice has to employ a locum to take the place of a worker that is suspended by a governing entity within your company, you can receive benefits weekly. Just as the aforementioned benefit, the sum will be the same as the amount insured for Temporary Total Disablement. But, it will be payable for 6 weeks starting after the initial four weeks of suspension have passed.
